It is in decent condition with a significant dent at the left rear, a small dent at the rim retaining screw and the opening for the headlight rim is slightly out of round. There is also a section of wiring harness included. The mounting threads are NSC, and are in good condition.

It accepts a 7 headlight unit. This used headlight shell, type MCH61, part fits all of the road model's of the 1963 through 1965 matchless and Ajs brands. This type of shell has provision for an ignition switch included, a lighting switch, an ammeter and a speedometer 80mm DOA.
